Letter to the President

Dear Mr. President,

How are you sir? I hope your living a good peaceful and happy life. I heard so many things about even when you were still the mayor of davao. Some people were against you but they wanted to give you a chance because your plans were promising. We were expecting that the Philippines would be a better place to live in your hand.
As a filipino, we have a lot of expectations on you and that you will be true to what everything you have said. Your plans. Your promise. Everything. And years passed, we have seen some improvement of our country. When the COVID-19 pandemic started to invade our country, we were hopeful that you would be top of everything but as we watched you address your country men about our situation, our heart sank. We expected better from you. Must it be your age,or maybe your health? Or perhaps the people surrounding you? We do not know. But we still kept on believing and hoping. We respect you because we believe that we are called to honor our leaders. Moreover, aside from increasing number of covid cases here in our country. Many Filipinos are not being able to recieve support from the government, our health cares not having enough PPE. And also the stopping of ABS-CBN from airing around the country. The anti-Terror Bill and many more.
It must be very difficult for you knowing that your health is not in good condition and also leading hundreds of million filipinos. I understand that it is difficult but I hope that you will remember the promises that you have spoken before you took the oath to lead our country. We believe in you, we still do. Even though sometimes we disagree with you. Several Philippine presidents were ousted because they failed to lead the country well and its also because of their selfishness, they prioritize more of themselves than their countrymen. I hope that you redeem yourself and prove others wrong and you do the next right thing. Goodluck and Godbless Mr. President.

  1. It seemed that the writer was very concerned about the condition of the president and that caught my attention since I'm not a fan of news. As a fellow citizen of the Philippines the fact that we admire our own president and even idolize it is kinda a good thing for he really is a person to look up to.
