Girl Power

Image
Women empowerment refers to making women powerful to make capable of deciding for themselves. Women have suffered a lot through the years at the hands of men.                 Education for girls must be made compulsory so that women can become illiterate to make life for themselves. Women must be given equal opportunities in every field, irrespective of gender. Moreover, they must be given equal pay. We cane empower women by abolishing child marriage.                 Most importantly, the shame for divorce and abuse must be thrown out of the window. Many women stay in abusive relationship because of the fear of society. Parents must teach their daughters it’s okay to come home divorced rather than in a coffin.                 Women notably mothers, play the largest role in decision-making about family, meal planning and diet. The duties of women were confined to the domestic space: raising children, taking care of household affairs and growing their young

Covid-19 Vaccine

Image
The vaccine stimulates your immune system to protect you from the virus. This process can sometimes cause side effects like fever, chills or headache, but not everyone experiences this. The presence or magnitude of the reaction you may have vaccination does not predict or reflect your immune response to the vaccine. Covid-19 has upended societies and dramatically altered everyday life across the globe. We all have been affected by the current COVID-19 pandemic. However, the impact of the pandemic and its consequences are felt differently depending on our status as individuals and as members of society.                 COVID-19 is killing people on a large scale. As we face this crisis together, and as the issues of mental health and wellness continue to be in the forefront of daily news coverage, the importance of physical safety as well as emotional well-being are normalized and becoming household concerns. Millions of enterprises face an existential threat. Near

Day of Valor

Image
This historic day marks the greatness of Filipino veterans and American allies who fought against the Japanese invasion in World War II. Thousands of lives were lost during this dark chapter in our history in defending the country’s freedom and sovereignty. The siege of Bataan was the first major land battle for the Americans in World War II and one of the most-devastating military defeats in American history. The force on Bataan, numbering some 76,000 Filipino and American troops, is the largest army under American command ever to surrender.                 Araw ng Kagitingan also known as Bataan Day and Bataan and Corregidor Day, is a national observance in the Philippines which commemorates the fall of Bataan during World War II. It falls on April 9, although in 2009, its celebration was moved to April 6 to avoid it from coinciding with Maundy Thursday. The “Fall of Bataan” serves as a constant symbol of the Filipinos’ bravery and patriotism. Now that we

Holy Week

Image
Holy Week is when many people perform holy rites in fulfillment of a vow they made when they asked God a favor, such as a cure for an illness. Priests and religious statues are dressed in purple to symbolize gloom.                 Millions of Filipino Catholics are forced to spend Holy Week at home as the Philippine government restricts mass gatherings, including religious services, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some Filipinos not only whip their backs into a bloody mess — they also have their feet and hands nailed to a wooden cross. The Holy Week is fast approaching, and with the current situation, we may still not celebrate it like we're used to. For most of the week, especially after Tuesday, the towns are eerily quiet with TV and radio stations going off the air and no loud noises or revelry whatsoever. Catholics stop eating meat, turning to fish, and the more devout ones go on a completely liquid diet.                 Lastly, let us all use this

National Women's Month

Image
Women's Month Celebration has since served as a venue to highlight women's achievements and discuss continuing and emerging women's empowerment and gender equality issues and concerns, challenges, and commitments.                 We celebrate women trailblazers in politics, governance, and other areas of public service and development efforts, especially during the pandemic. Women from all walks of life have in their own way shown leadership and compassion in the delivery of inclusive, innovative, and effective responses to the pandemic. In every family, every barangay, every island of the nation, and every small or big organization, we have Juanas who takes the role of solution providers, peacemakers, and trendsetters during these difficult times. The skills and talents that women have should be further harnessed by empowering and providing them spaces that enable their meaningful participation in planning and decision making at various levels. What I have learned in ICT

Image
In the second quarter, I’ve learned a lot of things in ICT class. There are so many topics and a lot of things we have learned about. Most of the things I’ve learned makes me understand how it is important in our life to have an internet, and also important to know as a thing I’ve known. First of all, what I have learned in this Quarter is all about Html, it is a program that are used to make blogs and articles. HTML is short for Hypertext Markup Language. HTML is used to create electronic documents that are displayed on the World Wide Web. I have learned many things, but there are still some problems that I encountered during this quarter, there are still some aspects that I need to improve on.                         Basically, it is an electronic newspaper wherein you can read a lot of articles that are happening around us. You can also make a Blogspot about yourself or in other words, autobiography and so on. You can learn a lot in HTML. Besides,
